  HEARING LOSS

Among others, otosclerosis is a common cause for hard of hearing. It is a hereditary condition. In otosclerosis, the stapes, one of the three tiny bones in the middle ear, gets fixed due to the growth of otospongiotic bone. Stapedectomy is a simple operation where the fixed stapes is removed and replaced by a Teflon piston. In Sinus and Nose we have the skeeter drill which is used to make the fenestra in the footplate of stapes. Our results of stapedectomy is 98% which is on par with any center.
